Derek has owned a management consultancy business since 1996, after spending 30 years working for the Mars Corporation. He was appointed to the College of West Anglia board in 2002 and serves as the chair of the employment policy committee. He is also the chair of West Norfolk Music Centre. Derek was appointed as chair of the Trust upon its inception in 2010.
Debbie is the executive director of central and community services at the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk with responsibility for a range of functions including communications, personnel, improvement and efficiency, elections and safety and welfare. She has been a governor at King’s Lynn Academy since 2010 and is part of the women’s leadership programme at the local government management board.
|Dr Duncan Ramsey
During 17 years as a primary headteacher Duncan led two very different schools to outstanding Ofsted judgements. Leading an average-sized village primary and a larger school in London have helped him develop the skills and experience needed to provide high quality support to schools within the Trust. He is a qualified Ofsted lead inspector and received his Doctorate in 2003 for developing training programmes to support excellent performance in experienced teachers. Duncan became the Chief Executive of the Eastern Multi-Academy Trust in January 2017.

Wendy has owned a consumer research consultancy company since 2015, after spending 28 years working for Mars UK in European R&D. She was appointed to the EMAT board at its recent formation, following 7 years as Governor and Chair of Governors at KLA. Both of her children attended KLA, and one attended KES Academy Sixth Form. She is also the membership secretary of the King’s Lynn Players, and volunteers regularly at charity sporting events, being a keen runner herself. Wendy was formerly the Chair of the Institute of Consumer Sciences, and the Sensory and Consumer Panel at Campden Food research.
