Eastgate Academy

Eastgate Academy, formerly Eastgate Primary School, was the second primary academy to join the Trust, launching on 1st April 2014. A feeder school for King Edward VII High School, Eastgate Academy’s aim is to be ‘one team, learning and growing together’. The academy has a strategic target of offering the highest standards of education through methods such as sustaining and developing an environment where every child matters and driving up academic standards to exceed national levels. In 2017, it became one of only 7 schools in the history of Ofsted to go from ‘requires intervention’ to ‘outstanding’, receiving a report of ‘outstanding’ in all areas.

“I am very excited by becoming part of the Eastern Multi-Academy Trust family. The partnerships that we are already beginning to make are going to have a massive impact on the attainment of the pupils and I feel strongly that we will be able to offer even more to the families of the community we serve. We are a passionate staff here at Eastgate Academy, and we are privileged to work with committed and highly motivated pupils and families. With such great support, the sky is the limit.” – Linda Hothersall, Principal
