Eastern Multi-Academy Trust is a multi-academy Trust sponsored by the College of West Anglia, a large further education college with a long and successful history within the town. The trust was formed in 2010 when its first academy – King’s Lynn Academy – was set up. Since then a further four academies have joined the trust within the local area. The trust currently consists of five academies located across King’s Lynn and Downham Market.
In total, the trust employs over 700 staff and has circa 3,900 students across its academies and the central trust office. The trust’s financial turnover is in the region of £23million per annum.
The trust is committed to being a provider of high quality education across the primary and secondary sectors. Its ambition is to grow further but to remain true to its roots within the locality and use its knowledge and understanding of the area to support this. It also aims to become a provider of services for other schools and academies from educational support and training to Human Resources.
The trust aims to provide excellent opportunities for all and will not treat any applicants, employees, students or other clients unfavourably by reason of any protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Act 2010. The trust aims to provide excellent training and support for its staff and offer career pathways for staff across its different academies and the central trust.
