KLA celebrate best-ever GCSE results

King’s Lynn Academy students and staff are celebrating some of their best-ever GCSE results, with 55% achieving grades between 9 and 4 in English and maths (equivalent to A*-C under the new grading system).

Principal Alan Fletcher said: “We are absolutely delighted, these are by some distance the best results in the school’s history and it is great to see our students being rewarded for their hard work.

“I know the students also appreciate the dedicated support they have received from all our brilliant staff.

“KLA has been on a journey of rapid improvement for the past 18 months, with intensive support from Eastern Multi-Academy Trust, and it is wonderful to see that those improvements have made such a contribution to the successes we celebrate today.

“We congratulate our students and their families, and wish them continued success as they leave KLA to begin their next chapter.”

Eastern Multi-Academy Trust chief executive, Duncan Ramsey said: “These fantastic results are a real credit to everyone at King’s Lynn Academy.

“I want to congratulate Mr Fletcher, the staff and students for achieving their best ever results. This is a significant achievement.”
