CONSTITUTIONAL ARRANGEMENTS

Eastern Multi-Academy Trust is a company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales with company number 07338780. It has entered into Master Funding Agreements and various Supplemental Funding Agreements covering the funding of the academies within the Trust (together the “Funding Agreements”).

The Trust's principal governance document is its Articles of Association (see tab below).

The Board of Trustees set up an Audit & Risk Committee, a Finance & Operations Committee, and a Human Resources (HR) & Wellbeing Committee. In addition to these Board Committees, the trustees established an Academy Committee in each academy and (as with all its committees) delegated responsibilities to them,  however, the Academy Committees are not legally responsible or accountable for statutory functions. That remains with the Board of Trustees.

Details of the constitution and remit of the Board itself and its Committees (including its Academy Committees) are set out in the Constitution and Terms of Reference document below.

The responsibilities delegated by the trustees to its Board and Academy Committees are outlined in its Scheme of Delegation (see separate tab).
