Mark has worked across a range of schools in East Anglia for over 30 years; ranging from Secondary, Middle, Primary, First and Alternative Provision. He has worked as a Senior Leader or Head Teacher since 2000, leading schools through a variety of Section 5 and Section 8 Ofsted inspections, where his leadership was often highlighted for its positive impact.

His particular area of interest is the Safeguarding of children, having worked in a range of schools with high need in that area. In more recent years, Mark has worked as an Interim Head Teacher or Interim Executive Head Teacher supporting a range of schools where there was no substantive leadership; putting these back onto a firm platform, for them to be able to move forward again.
