After qualifying as a teacher in Hull, Chris began his career in Lincolnshire, teaching Year Six and Nursery before a number of leadership roles led him to the Headship of a large primary school in Grimsby.

He worked subsequently as an Executive Head of Secondary and Primary schools in the area before being appointed as Director of Learning for Wellspring Multi Academy Trust. 

His most recent experience is as Head of Educational Outcomes for Kirklees local authority, with responsibility across 180 schools.

Chris holds the SENDCO qualification and has been chair of governors of a secondary school in Doncaster.

He is passionate about securing great schools and great teachers so that all learners can achieve exceptional outcomes.
